About Dr. Permenter

.

drpermenter“There were only two things I wanted to be when I grew up: second baseman for the Atlanta Braves or a doctor,” recalls Dr. Permenter.

“After suffering a broken leg while playing baseball for Stetson University, I knew my chance of playing for the Braves had disappeared. Using crutches and favoring my right side, I developed lower back pain. The team doctor and athletic trainer tried many different medications and physical therapies which only provided temporary relief.

It wasn’t until a teammate asked me to drive him to his doctor that I experienced chiropractic first-hand. After a few treatments, I began to feel a lot better. That is when I started thinking about becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic.”

A graduate of Stetson University, Dr. Permenter received his chiropractic degree from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, MO.

After completing his clinical residencies in St. Louis, Dr. Permenter worked as an associate in both Lincolnton and Charlotte to improve his clinical skills. In January 2001, Dr. Permenter established Permenter Chiropractic.

Dr. Permenter is a board member of Charlotte East Rotary Club, the North Carolina Chiropractic Association, and the American Chiropractic Association. Dr. Permenter and his wife, Amy, have one son, Andrew. They enjoy golfing, water skiing and reading.
